Naked Knowledge – The Best Productivity Platform
One line Description
Naked Knowledge is a productivity platform that helps people simplify their life and achieve their goals. Users can focus on and track the actionable knowledge that they gain throughout their life on topics they care about and learn from their social connections. Naked Knowledge is based out of United States of America.
Overview & Use Case
Naked Knowledge helps you tackle information overload so that you can cut through the noise and focus on just what’s most valuable to achieving your goals and dreams. It is a productivity platform and a designed knowledge marketplace, Naked Knowledge’s features help you rank, discover and filter and even share your knowledge to the world. Users can focus on and track the actionable knowledge that they gain throughout their life on topics they care about and learn from their social connections.
Information overload is linked with stress and poor health and in a world of big data and information overload, Naked Knowledge tries solving this problem to take you above the fray thus allowing you to focus on only the valuable and actionable information or wisdom.
Today whom you know has also become as important as what you know and this application helps you better manage not just “What you know” but it also allows you to leverage the crowd or “Whom you know” by letting the user choose which group to target, you can focus just on your insights, those in your contacts or the whole wide world.
Naked Knowledge is like a personalised wikipedia that you create. It lets you capture and safeguard the topics that matter the most to you and knowledge on them. You can also leverage and view the amazing things your friends or contacts might know and you can even earn money by selling your own knowledge to the world!
How it works
Naked knowledge can be broken down into 3 main sections using which you can manage your information, knowledge, and your action points. The three primary sections are “Knowledge”, “Notes” and “Goals”. Use the Goal section to define and capture your destination and also the action steps that you need to follow to get there. Once the topics of knowledge that you are focussed on have been determined, you can leverage knowledge and note to capture and manage them.
Filtering out the noise has also been made very simple for the user. The knowledge on your focus topics can be filtered to view “Your Knowledge”, “Group Knowledge” or “Collective Knowledge”. As per your requirements, you can also prioritise the knowledge by simply dragging the blocks of information to rearrange, thereby allowing the user to keep the most important piece of knowledge within easy reach.
While you rearrange your knowledge it also has a direct effect on the collective knowledge display, thereby providing the most valuable information to everyone in the form of texts, links, images, videos etc. In a similar fashion, the notes can also be rearranged, collapsed or expanded by dragging and clicking. You also have option of filtering your notes allowing you to view either just your notes or of all collaborators on a particular topic.
Another functionality that will make your life simple when using naked knowledge is that it gives you the freedom to use links, images, pictures, videos, files, calendar events etc while creating your knowledge thus making things extremely easy and fast to use. One feature I love in this app is the fact that you can learn from others.
You can just search and browse any topic you might information on and when you find something you like, it allows you to add it to your knowledge stream with the click of a button. If there is a particular user whose knowledge looks impressive, you can follow them to see more insights into their knowledge or use the messaging platform to directly get in touch with them.
You can also control your privacy settings according to the nature of a particular topic of knowledge. By default, all knowledge is public but you get the freedom where you can make a particular piece of knowledge to be private thus making it visible only to yourself and the people you choose to share it with.

If the internet ecosystem were a language, Jereme would rank as fluent. Personally, I was always in awe of Jeremes energy being able to juggle multiple projects, while always staying focused and professional. His enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, and strong work ethic are complemented by significant natural talents. He is a leader, able to bring others into his spirit of achievement. A rare find.
The Bottom Line
Knowledge, information and data have become one of the most prized possession in the age of the internet and with that has come the need to be able to manage the same in the best possible manner for efficient utilization. In the data driven economy being able to capture and create knowledge has become a great skill and also a necessity. Filtering out the unwanted, unuseful information and other noise from the valuable blocks of knowledge has been becoming a big problem for most people with no easy solution.
This is the problem that Naked Knowledge tried to solve, though there are quite a lot of applications or shoe boxes out in the market that allow you to capture important knowledge and information but you can think of Naked Knowledge as your treasure box with it’s focus on user experience and building functionalities that simplify and enhance the usability of this application.
You can feel and see the importance that has been given to the user interface and the naked knowledge can be proud of what they have been able to build. The use cases for this application are immense, anyone and everyone from a student to a successful entrepreneur has a need to capture, create, collaborate and share knowledge.
Infact just capturing is not enough as editing, prioritising and filtering out the noise have become extremely important too. Naked capture has been claimed to be the solution to all the above problems and you can even make money selling knowledge that you have and others want!
We, the members of StartupWhale, wholeheartedly wish the team of Naked Knowledge all the very best for the long and promising journey ahead.
