Bucket – Create and Collect The Group of Places You Wanted to Visit
What was the name of the great burger place you best friend had told you about last week, can’t seem to remember? Do you miss out on great places to visit because of you simply forgot the name? Wish you could create a list or a group of places that you want to visit ?
The monuments you want visit? You favourite music stores?
There are so many places to remember. Places you have been to, places you want to go to next, places you wish you never went to again. We can not remember them all and you wish someone would remember them all if you told them once. The team of the Bucket app have just made your wish come true. Bucket helps you organise your list of places, making sure you never forget any.
If you can relate to the above mentioned questions, you would love using the Bucket application. It lets you create groups of places, which can range from bars, pubs, coffee house, lounges, restaurants, ice- cream parlours, sushi bars and the list is long. You can not only create these groups but also share them with other people, helping them discover new places. The user can also look at the shared lists of other users and find out new and interesting places to visit. As all the lists are the user created, there is not curation or promotion of select outlets. It will not just help you in listing down and discovering new places but also let you collect the places you have visited. You can post reviews of the places you have been to and help fellow users make a wiser decision.
In a world where mobile applications are plentiful, where exactly will bucket create a niche for itself still remains to be seen. We are still waiting for the next version of this to launch on the play store so we can check the touch and feel of it. The kind of functionalities that the team is planning to build in still remains an unanswered question. It is still not clear what kind of places can a user add to his list. Will that be restricted to places that can be geo-tagged on a map or will it be an open entry of his choice. From what we have been observing till now, it should be a list of places that have a physical address that can be tagged on a map. As the buckets are supposed to be shared and discovered among friends and other, this seems to be the logical case. Also as they already have a namesake app already launched and quite famous that allows users to create and manage their personal to do lists that they can also share with selected people. What segment of audience they plan to target will hinge heavily on this.
Use Cases
It is difficult to define a particular group of target audience yet for this smartphone application till they come out with a stable version. But this application can be used for Online Discovery of places tagged as per their broad classification. From the initial releases and information available on their website, it looks like they plan to be preferred platform for users to add, manage, discover list or buckets of places as created and curated by other users. From the initial looks of things, the topics and set of lists can be highly varied depending on the tastes of different users. The lists can from those of the best pizza places in a locality to the best toy shops in entire world!
The use case of this particular mobile app are immense, but the direction which it’s developer and founder want it to take will become more clear as the next version becomes available for download. We know that trying to target a huge niche audience can lead to very complex products we sincerely hope that Bucket soon finds the correct path for itself. A seasoned mobile application developer like Arroba can be trusted with ensuring that the final product has just right mix of functionalities and features to make it hit among its niche of audiences.
Founder
Arroba Fedecasas –
This young visionary and dreamer from Mexico city has already started 2 start ups, with Bucket being the second. He is the founder and lead developer for this mobile application. His past projects and startup clearly showcase the eye for details of this experienced developer when it comes to the design and user experience of a mobile application. His applications have a host of intuitive functionalities and easy to understand and use features. He applications usually carry a minimalistic touch when it comes to the graphic design part. Though Arroba is a full stack developer he has a slight inclination towards mobile app development. He already has a lot of experience of building and designing successful mobile applications. Arroba has a passion for designing products that the customers will love and make their overall experiences seamless and enjoyable. He is a person of passion and always wanted to become an entrepreneur so before Bucket he developed and created another mobile app ‘Shtories’. It is a smartphone application that allows the user to write and read short stories of up to a few hundred words that will easily fit on the screen of a mobile without any need to scroll as according to Arroba it makes no sense writing horizontally on the screen of a laptop while it is meant to be read on a much smaller vertical smartphone screen.
The Bottom Line
As mobile application development is a segment that has been observing soaring interest from developers, entrepreneurs and users alike, with a large number of applications & use cases across almost every walk of life be it business, science, entertainment, education productivity, games etc. It really excites me to see smartphone applications like Bucket perceive and understand problems from the user point of view and come up interesting ideas to solve the same. The concept of Bucket has a good number of use cases but as the product is still in development stages, it is too early to comment on it. These pieces of information when coupled with all the promised functionalities and features, Bucket would do well to carve a niche for itself.
We, the members of StartupWhale, wholeheartedly wish the Founder of Bucket all the very best for the long and promising journey ahead.
