C-Thermal : The First Smart Thermal Imager

The famous cloak of invisibility from the Harry Potter folklore is forever etched in our hearts. All we wanted was to have such a cloak of our own. But in the real world many entities actually are invisible. The human eye fails to see a lot of light rays which makes many objects imperceptible. C-Thermal is bringing about massive change or so to say a major revolution in the industry. C-Thermal is a smart thermal imager which will enable you to view invisible heat radiation by converting it into perceivable light.

With different display modes at our disposal we can very well record videos in full pixel resolution. We can even store them for later use. C-Thermal assists you with power inflation, personal security, hardware works and handling of pets. Locating faulty areas and energy inefficiencies, being used as night vision devices, formulating heat distribution, finding lost pets in the dark are some of the many tasks where we can use C-Thermal for our aid.

C-Thermal is a startup based out of Austria. Thermal imaging is associated to being carried out by highly professional domain experts. It is a technology which is not within everyone’s reach and a lack of know how pertaining to it is very much present. C-thermal aims to significantly reduce the cost of making this technology available to the end user. C-Thermal is in its development stage and will be launching its crowd funding campaign on kickstarter.com very soon. Once released, it’ll be one of a kind technology and would be the first international smart thermal imaging technology. A lot of sensors incorporating a high level of abstraction are able to locate problem prone areas like moist masonry and sultry bridges. These sensors are employed within C- Thermal.

Within complete darkness C-Thermal acts as our sole navigator. It provides a night vision for security and surveillance. You can jog in the dark, and survey property to detect dangers. Its effective range is 300 meters. It is able to function in a pitch dark environment as well.

Picture and video quality is not substantially compromised as well as they can be stored with full thermal and pixel resolution. Through WLAN we can even display or view our pictures and videos on our PC or on our smart phones. It comes with a C-Thermal bumper as well. This protects the camera and looks nice when mounted on. It can be used with a USB interface and has a measuring range from -25 degree Celsius to 150 Degree Celsius. C-Thermal can record up to 4 hours of video and offers wireless charging too. More than 1000 pictures captured by it can be stored. It has an OLED display with up to 300 meter range. Priced at 249 € it would be available in C-Thermal’s online store in the last quarter of 2016. Its operation is fairly simple and many prototypes till now have been tested successfully as well. Its sensors can be upgraded to a higher resolution one also.  It would be made available as DIY kit as well which would consist of the hardware of the camera as well.
